Julia has become a mainstay at the Jewellery Valuers Association Registered Valuer Conference with good reason. Combining knowledge and strong speaker presence, Julia is a thoroughly engaging speaker who has become a leading light in the identification of and developing knowledge around the market impact of laboratory grown diamonds.
In September 2022 Julia was one of the JVA’s main presenters and delivered an incisive and eye opening 3-point presentation into the current issues facing buyers of significant stones, challenging long-held beliefs and assumptions in relation to the impact of LGDs on the market. Many of the facts presented were new to our members and are now key to their valuing practice.

Jewellery Valuers Association (JVA)
Julia has assisted the Institute [of Registered Valuers] and the National Association of Jewellers with gemmological training for the last six years.

We first approached her to run 90-minute gemmological workshops at our Valuers’ Conference back in 2016 when she was working for the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), and again in 2017. In recent years, she has offered workshops to our members on identifying laboratory-grown diamonds.
​
Her workshops at our Conferences are always popular and fully subscribed. Members’ feedback reveals that her enthusiam, knowledge and the inclusion of practical hands-on participation makes for an all-round worthwhile learning experience.
