THE GEM ACADEMY has launched a new YouTube channel all about laboratory-grown diamonds. Laboratory-grown diamonds, also known as synthetic diamonds (and lab-grown diamonds to our North American friends), continue to cause problems in the jewellery industry as their prevalence increases. Many professionals are unsure on which testing equipment can best aid them in identifying these stones. This new YouTube channel will provide "how to" videos on testing equipment specifically designed to identify laboratory-grown diamonds as well as interesting features and topical discussions of the industries hottest new products.
At the source of Julia's work is a desire to spread accurate and interesting information about laboratory-grown diamonds. The more familiar professionals become with these products, the more confident they will become. This will aid conversations with fellow colleagues and consumers.
